13. In-App Payment System

All payments on HelperWebs are processed by Stripe. Here is how payment information flows:

13.1 For Providers

  • When posting a job, you pay exactly the listed job price through Stripe's secure checkout page, no fee is added to your payment
  • Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's systems and are never transmitted to or stored on HelperWebs servers
  • The payment is held by Stripe until the job is marked complete; if the job is cancelled before completion, the hold is released and funds return to your payment method

13.2 For Helpers

  • To receive payouts, helpers connect a Stripe account and provide required information (such as bank or debit card details) directly to Stripe
  • When a job is marked complete, the listed job price minus our 10% service fee is transferred to the helper's Stripe account
  • HelperWebs never has access to your bank account or card numbers

13.3 What We Keep

  • We store only transaction metadata: payment status, amounts, job references, and Stripe transaction IDs
  • These records are kept for 7 years to comply with financial regulations
  • Stripe's own data practices are described in the Stripe Privacy Policy

Our messaging system is designed to protect user privacy:

14.1 Message Handling

  • Messages are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on our servers
